Ryan Clark Scholarship
DO YOU DEDICATE YOUR TIME TO SERVE AND HELP OTHERS?
THEN YOU SHOULD APPLY FOR THE 2023 RYAN CLARK SCHOLARSHIP & COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD
After graduating Lakeside High School in 2002, Ryan enrolled at Virginia Tech where he triple-majored in Psychology, Biology and English. Ryan was also a beloved member of the Marching Virginians Band at Virginia Tech, where he was affectionately known as “Stack”. He had a perfect 4.0 average and was set to graduate in May 2007. Unfortunately, on April 16, 2007, Ryan’s life was tragically taken when he went to help another student during the Virginia Tech Massacre. His last act on earth was like so many before that: helping others in need. Do your part to keep his legacy of service alive. Volunteer, give back, pay it forward — live the motto "Ut Prosim" — that I may serve.
You are eligible to apply for the Ryan Clark Scholarship & Community Service Award if you are a high school student living in or attending school in Richmond County or Columbia County. The application and reference forms must be submitted by April 7, 2023
